Alejandro Varela is the President and Founder of Clever Landscaping, a commercial landscape company serving Colorado’s Front Range. Since founding the company in 2020, he has grown it from a startup into a multi-million-dollar business by focusing on operational excellence, disciplined execution, and long-term client relationships.

 

Originally from Galeana, Chihuahua, Mexico, Alejandro immigrated to the United States as a teenager with the goal of creating opportunities that were not available to him growing up. His early experiences taught him the value of hard work, resilience, and taking ownership—principles that continue to guide his leadership today.

 

Under Alejandro’s leadership, Clever Landscaping has expanded into commercial landscape construction, maintenance, irrigation, snow management, and enhancement services. The company partners with developers, property managers, HOAs, municipalities, and commercial property owners to deliver reliable, high-quality landscape solutions across Colorado.

 

Beyond growing a successful company, Alejandro is building the systems and leadership infrastructure needed to scale through acquisitions. His long-term vision is to create one of the leading commercial landscape organizations in the United States by combining strong local companies with centralized expertise in finance, operations, human resources, technology, safety, and marketing.

 

Alejandro is also passionate about sharing his entrepreneurial journey online.
